I’m a landscape photographer and guide with over 34 years of experience in the field, and 20 years behind the camera professionally. Based in the mountain town of Boone, North Carolina, I live and work just minutes from the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway — a setting that’s as close to heaven as I’ve found.

My days are spent chasing light, hiking in our parks and wilderness areas, and helping other photographers grow their craft. When I’m not guiding a photography tour or leading a workshop, I’m diving into editing, working on personal photo projects, or heading out for impromptu scouting trips. Curiosity drives everything I do — and I never stop learning or exploring.

I’m a proud graduate of Appalachian State University, and I bring together my academic background and decades of wilderness experience to lead well-planned, rewarding photography adventures across the Southern Appalachians and the American West. Whether we’re chasing waterfalls in North Carolina or Sunset on the Oregon Coast, my goal is always the same: to help you experience nature all around you, connect with the landscape, and create images you’re truly proud of.

This path — a mix of photography, exploration, storytelling, and education — has been a lifelong pursuit and something I have dreamed about since I was a child. I am truly grateful for every step of this awe-inspiring journey.
